

Dr. Shaikha Rana Bint Isa Bin Daij Al Khalifa, Director General of the Institute of Public Administration, affirmed that Bahraini Youth Day, observed annually on March 25, is a national occasion that reflects the Kingdom of Bahrain’s deep commitment to empowering youth as a fundamental pillar of development and future-building. This commitment is reinforced by the direct support of His Majesty King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa, the esteemed King of Bahrain, and the continuous follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman Bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
She highlighted the efforts of His Highness Shaikh Nasser Bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, as well as His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, in promoting the active societal role of youth by ensuring the continued establishment of a comprehensive framework of youth programs and initiatives.
Dr. Shaikha Rana further noted that these efforts have significantly highlighted the capabilities, potential, and cultural strength of Bahraini youth by providing them with high-quality opportunities to engage in various fields. These initiatives have also elevated youth leadership and empower young people to participate in decision-making processes and in the formulation of developmental plans and initiatives.
She explained that the Institute of Public Administration offers a range of programs dedicated to developing Bahraini youth and enhancing their leadership skills, in line with the national visions and strategies shared among institutions in both the public and private sectors. These programs aim to empower Bahraini youth according to the highest standards that align with current trends and future aspirations. She noted that young people represent 51% of the total beneficiaries of the Institute’s programs.
She added that the Institute’s programs are primarily designed to develop youth skills and uncover their potential to achieve both local and international success. She emphasized that launching programs and initiatives focused on youth empowerment aligns with the Institute’s strategic plans to advance administrative development and provide high-level training to young leaders in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Dr. Shaikha Rana expressed her pride in the Bahraini youth who have graduated from the Institute’s programs, highlighting their distinguished ability to excel and innovate, driven by their national ambition and a passion that knows no bounds. She affirmed that this spirit motivates the Institute to continue launching more youth-oriented initiatives to build an integrated institutional system capable of elevating the Kingdom of Bahrain across local, regional, and international platforms and in various fields.
