Her Excellency Dr. Shaikha Rana Bint Isa Bin Duaij Al Khalifa, Director General of the Institute of Public Administration in the Kingdom of Bahrain, affirmed that hosting the joint hackathon “Future of Administrative Innovation (Ru’athon) ” in cooperation with the Institute of Public Administration in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia reflects the depth of the fraternal relations between the two kingdoms, as well as their shared commitment to exchanging expertise and developing national talent in the public sector. This, she noted, enhances the sustainability of government work systems and elevates the level of administrative development across the region. She added that the “Future of Administrative Innovation (Ru’athon) ” serves as a pioneering platform that brings together creative minds from Bahrain and Saudi Arabia to exchange ideas and formulate forward-looking visions that advance government work, while contributing to the development of innovative solutions that support institutional efficiency and align with the objectives of Bahrain Economic Vision 2030 and Saudi Vision 2030.
This came during the launch ceremony of the first joint (Ru’athon) of its kind, the “Future of Administrative Innovation Ru’athon”, hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain and organized by the Institute of Public Administration in the Kingdom of Bahrain in collaboration with the Institute of Public Administration in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, held from 9 to 13 November 2025, with the participation of a distinguished group of national talents from both brotherly countries. This landmark event is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen cooperation and integration in the fields of administrative development between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The hackathon aims to develop innovative administrative solutions that address real-world challenges in the public sector through the application of the stages and tools of the Design Thinking methodology within competitive team-based environments.
For his part, His Excellency Dr. Bandar bin Asaad Al-Sajjan, Director General of the Institute of Public Administration in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, emphasized that organizing the “Future of Administrative Innovation (Ru’athon) ” in collaboration with the Institute of Public Administration in the Kingdom of Bahrain embodies the depth of the strategic and integrative relations between the two brotherly countries, and reflects the commitment of both institutions to fostering a culture of institutional innovation and enhancing the capabilities of public sector professionals. He praised the fruitful cooperation with the Bahraini Institute of Public Administration, which has resulted in one of the most inspiring models of joint Gulf cooperation aimed at empowering national talents to anticipate the future of administration and craft innovative solutions that support government transformation and achieve the goals of both countries’ Vision 2030.
The two sides concluded by underscoring the importance of continuing cooperation in implementing joint initiatives that contribute to building administrative cadres capable of innovation and sustainable development. They also commended the efforts of the participants and organizers in ensuring the success of this distinguished event, which embodies the unity of vision and aspirations of the two brotherly kingdoms toward an advanced and sustainable administrative future.
