Her Excellency Dr. Shaikha Rana Bint Isa Bin Daij Al Khalifa, Director General of the Institute of Public Administration, met with Her Excellency Ms. Amina J. Mohammed, United Nations Deputy Secretary-General and Chair of the United Nations Sustainable Development Group, on the sidelines of her participation in the 24th Session of the Committee of Experts on Public Administration (CEPA) of the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, USA.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed avenues of cooperation between the Institute and the United Nations in the fields of training and scientific research, in a way that contributes to supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.
Her Excellency Dr. Shaikha Rana Bint Isa Bin Daij Al Khalifa affirmed that the Institute of Public Administration seeks to build strategic partnerships with leading international organizations, particularly in the development of human capital and the empowerment of national talents through innovative training programs aligned with development needs in public and private sector administration. She highlighted the importance of exchanging scientific and research expertise to advance various training plans and programs, as well as the necessity of benefiting from successful international best practices in integrating the Sustainable Development Goals into training and research initiatives, thereby supporting the Kingdom of Bahrain in achieving its desired development aspirations.
