The Institute of Public Administration, represented by Ms. Maryam Khalil, Head of Strategic Planning and Quality Assurance, participated in the meeting of the Technical Committee of Public Administration Institutes in the GCC countries. The meeting was held in the State of Kuwait and chaired by Mr. Mohammed Abdulmohsen Al-Ahmad, Assistant Undersecretary for Administrative Development at the Civil Service Commission of Kuwait, with the participation of several experts and specialists representing public administration institutes across the GCC.
During the meeting, participants discussed a set of proposed initiatives aimed at improving institutional performance and enhancing the capabilities of public administration institutes in the GCC, in line with rapid administrative and technological advancements. The initiatives also seek to enhance the efficiency and quality of government services. In addition, emphasis was placed on the importance of aligning the new work plan for GCC public administration institutes for the period 2026–2030 with the national visions of each member state, in support of shared strategic objectives and the development of national cadres capable of leading public sector transformation.
Participants also reviewed the second edition of the “Future of Work in Government Program,” and agreed to launch its next phase as one of the key initiatives for anticipating future trends in government work across the GCC region.
