

The Institute of Public Administration organized a variety of sports activities and games in celebration of Bahrain Sports Day. The events, held at the Institute’s headquarters and Bahrain Bay, saw wide participation from the Institute’s staff and included physical check-ups, walking sessions, and fitness exercises.
On this occasion, Dr. Shaikha Rana Bint Isa Bin Duaij Al Khalifa, Director General of the Institute of Public Administration, affirmed that dedicating a national Sports Day reflects the care and attention of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the esteemed King of Bahrain, may Allah protect him, and the continued support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman Bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may Allah protect him. She highlighted the significant progress and international achievements of the sports sector, noting the Cabinet’s decision to allocate a half workday to allow employees to participate in sports activities, encouraging physical exercise and promoting both physical and mental well-being among employees.
The Director General also emphasized that Bahrain Sports Day activities play a vital role in spreading sports culture, promoting physical activity, and embedding sports as a lifestyle for all members of society. These sports initiatives are inspired by the encouragement of His Highness Shaikh Nasser Bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, as well as His Highness Shaikh Khalid Bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, and President of the General Sports Authority. Their support serves as a source of inspiration for Bahraini youth to achieve greater success across various sports fields.
