His Excellency Mr. Abdullah Bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce, affirmed that investing in the development of national leaders is a fundamental pillar for strengthening the Kingdom of Bahrain’s competitiveness and driving sustainable development across all sectors.
His Excellency explained that today’s government leaders possess the knowledge and expertise that enhance their ability to make strategic decisions and innovate effective solutions that contribute to boosting competitiveness at the regional and international levels.
This came during his meeting with the 35th cohort of the Executive Leadership Development Program “Qeyadat,” delivered by the Institute of Public Administration for public sector directors as part of the National Leadership Development Program.
His Excellency noted that the program represents a distinguished milestone in the learning and development journey of national talent, given its role in preparing leaders capable of managing change, shaping public policies, and achieving institutional integration. This, he added, contributes to raising the efficiency of public sector institutions and supporting growth across all sectors, including industry and commerce. He also praised the role played by the Institute of Public Administration in this field, emphasizing that it reflects the Kingdom of Bahrain’s commitment to building strategic national cadres capable of enhancing institutional performance and ensuring the realization of national visions and aspirations.
For her part, Dr. Shaikha Rana Bint Isa Bin Duaij Al Khalifa, Director General of the Institute of Public Administration, affirmed that advancing the capabilities and skills of national leaders is a key requirement for strengthening the foundations of institutional work. She explained that the “Qeyadat” program aims to develop strategic leaders capable of shaping policies and formulating strategies based on the latest methodologies and advanced administrative practices, thereby elevating administrative development in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
She added that the Institute of Public Administration will continue its efforts to provide a common platform that brings together government leaders to develop future plans and administrative policies. This will help streamline procedures, launch joint initiatives that enhance the quality of government services and projects, and meet the aspirations of citizens.
