Dr. Bin Shams: “Fikra” has reflected the aspiring vision of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister and his keenness to embrace the latest ideas for improving the Government work
His Excellency, Dr. Raed Mohammed Bin Shams the Director General of Bahrain Institute for Public Administration, (BIPA), affirmed that the Government Innovation Competition “FIKRA” (Idea) has reflected the Governmental vision of His Royal Highness, Prince Salman Bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. His Royal Highness’s vision aims at providing a competitive government environment that boosts the quality of the projects in the Government Action Program and raises the level of excellence in the services provided to the citizens and residents in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
This statement came during the meeting of Dr. Bin Shams with the BIPA cadres who have taken part in the Government Innovation Competition “FIKRA”, and their teams that comprised of an elite group of national capabilities from a number of government entities.
Dr. Bin Shams said that the Institute for Public Administration, BIPA, is highly proud for the participation in the competition and that its cadres were among the participants in the competition.
His Excellency, pointed out that the directives of His Royal Highness, the Crown Prince and Prime minister, to the ministries and Government entities to look into the adoption of the participating ideas within their initiatives and projects shows His Royal Highness’s keenness to employ the latest ideas and innovative national initiatives in raising the government work and to strengthen the quality of the services provided to the citizens. He added, that including the new and innovative initiatives within the future Government plans and projects will definitely raise the excellence of the Government Work system and create a culture of renewed institutional work based on innovation and creativity and in line with the national aspirations of a bright and promising vision to safeguard the capabilities of the public sector and to strengthen the sustainability of Government resources.
An elite group of cadres from the Institute for Public Administration participated in the competition among three teams comprising an outstanding group of government cadres from a number of government entities. As for the winning projects, in which BIPA cadres were part of the group were, “Smart System for waste management in Bahrain”, Your voice, and My Destination 6.0, and all of these have been characterized by the adoption of modern tools to come up with ideas that contribute in facing the government’s challenges, to which the local public sector is exposed to, through the employment of the best scientific methodologies and management practices.
