Dr. Shaikha Rana Bint Isa Bin Duaij Al Khalifa, Director General of the Institute of Public Administration, participated in the 23rd meeting of Their Excellencies the Directors General of Public Administration Institutes in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, held in the State of Kuwait.
This meeting comes as part of the periodic gatherings of GCC public administration institutes, aimed at strengthening administrative integration, exchanging expertise, and developing policies and programs that contribute to building national capacities capable of keeping pace with modern administrative transformations.
During the meeting, Dr. Shaikha Rana affirmed the Institute’s commitment to continuing the empowerment and development of national research capabilities, contributing to the production of scientific studies and research that meet the developmental needs of GCC countries. She emphasized that scientific research is a fundamental pillar for enhancing institutional performance quality and improving administrative efficiency. She also noted that the Institute of Public Administration conducted a comprehensive analysis of the research agendas and topics proposed by member states, highlighting that the findings revealed several shared priority research areas. These areas form a practical foundation for designing joint research studies in the coming phase, thereby strengthening regional and international research presence and reinforcing a unified team spirit in advancing public administration across the GCC.
At the conclusion of the meeting, participants welcomed the invitation extended by the Institute of Public Administration in the Kingdom of Bahrain to host the 24th meeting of Directors General of Public Administration Institutes in GCC countries, scheduled to be held in Bahrain next year, reflecting the Kingdom’s leading role in supporting joint GCC efforts in the field of public administration.
