Her Excellency Dr. Shaikha Rana Bint Isa bin Duaij Al Khalifa, Director General of the Institute of Public Administration, affirmed that the Kingdom of Bahrain’s successful hosting of the “Future of Administrative Innovation (Ruathon)” reflects the continuous efforts to elevate the level of administrative development and promote a culture of innovation within public sector institutions. She noted that organizing this landmark event demonstrates the Institute’s commitment to supporting innovation-driven administrative transformation, fostering creative thinking, and facilitating the exchange of expertise in a way that contributes to building and developing national leadership. She also praised the depth of cooperation with the Institute of Public Administration in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its prominent efforts in enhancing the exchange of expertise across various fields of public administration.
This was stated during the closing ceremony of the first joint hackathon of its kind, the “Future of Administrative Innovation (Ruathon),” hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain and organized by the Institute of Public Administration in the Kingdom of Bahrain in collaboration with the Institute of Public Administration in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, held from 9 to 13 November 2025, with the participation of 31 trainees representing national talents from both brotherly countries.
For his part, His Excellency Dr. Bandar bin Asaad Al-Sajjan, Director General of the Institute of Public Administration in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, commended the ongoing cooperation with the Bahraini Institute of Public Administration, considering the “Future of Administrative Innovation (Ruathon) ” as one of the inspiring models of Gulf partnership in developing government work systems. He highlighted that the event enhances the exchange of expertise and administrative practices, contributes to building an environment that supports institutional innovation, and promotes the development of innovative solutions that realize the shared visions of the two brotherly countries.
The closing ceremony was attended by a number of officials, participants, and experts, who praised the high level of organization and the distinguished outcomes of the hackathon, emphasizing the importance of continuing such joint initiatives to support Gulf integration in the fields of public administration. The ceremony concluded with honoring the trainers, participants, and winning teams. The first-place winning project, titled “Talent Radar Platform,” aims to establish an integrated system for managing and developing talent in the government sector. The second-place project, “Comprehensive Umrah Experience,” focused on enriching the pilgrim’s experience through the Nusuk platform by integrating historical and cultural sites into the platform’s packages. The third-place project, “Unified Business Intelligence Platform,” aims to build a unified business intelligence platform supported by artificial intelligence algorithms to enhance the efficiency of government resource management and enable managers to make fast and effective decisions.
