Her Excellency Dr. Shaikha Rana Bint Isa Bin Duaij Al Khalifa, Director General of the Institute of Public Administration, affirmed that the national cyber exercise Cyber Shield 2025 represents a significant milestone in strengthening cybersecurity awareness and enhancing national capabilities to safeguard the Kingdom’s digital infrastructure, thereby preserving Bahrain’s achievements amid the accelerating pace of digital transformation.
This came during the closing ceremony of Cyber Shield 2025, held under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Nasser Bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor, Commander of the Royal Guard, and Secretary General of the Supreme Defense Council, and organized by the National Cybersecurity Center under the theme “Supply Chain Attacks.”
The Director General emphasized that cybersecurity has become a strategic necessity to ensure the continuity of vital services and protect data and information, highlighting Bahrain’s leading role in enhancing its security readiness in line with the latest international best practices.
Dr. Shaikha Rana Bint Isa Bin Duaij Al Khalifa added that Cyber Shield 2025 embodies an integrated national effort to raise awareness, develop competencies, and cultivate a solid culture of information security. She stressed the importance of strengthening local and international partnerships to build robust digital resilience that protects national interests and supports the Kingdom’s sustainable development trajectory.
She further underscored the importance of adopting advanced initiatives to increase awareness of cyber threats and attacks, as well as the need to collaborate with the National Cybersecurity Center to design specialized programs and training courses for government personnel. Such efforts will enhance their skills and readiness to confront future advanced cyber challenges and threats.
