Her Excellency Dr. Shaikha Rana Bint Isa Bin Duaij Al Khalifa, Director General of the Institute of Public Administration, received Mrs. Aayesha Ehma Shareef, Chief of Mission of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
During the meeting, Dr. Shaikha Rana expressed her appreciation for the vital role played by the United Nations and its specialized agencies in addressing pressing global issues, particularly in the areas of migration and combating human trafficking. She reaffirmed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s commitment to supporting international efforts to combat human trafficking and protect the rights of migrant workers. She noted that these efforts have enabled Bahrain to establish a comprehensive system that fosters an advanced and stable living and working environment that safeguards the rights of all parties. Dr. Shaikha Rana also highlighted the Institute’s keenness to strengthen collaboration with the IOM in support of global initiatives aimed at combating human trafficking.
For her part, Mrs. Aayesha Ehma Shareef expressed her gratitude to the Director General for her continuous dedication to enhancing cooperation between the two institutions. She affirmed the IOM’s commitment to maximizing efforts that serve their shared goals and interests.
