Bahrain Institute of Public Administration, “BIPA” underlined the initiative of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports in organizing the open sports festival which was hosted by Isa Sports City last Saturday. The festival reflected the values and originality of the Bahraini society, as well as, noble and cultural goals to entrench the principles of sports in achieving rapprochement and mutual understanding between the citizens and other expat communities living in Bahrain. The event encouraged everyone to show the positive power of playing sports and to demonstrate their creativity in various fields. BIPA noted the generous sponsorship given to the festival by His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of His Majesty the King to charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport (SCYS) and President of the National Olympic Committee. The Institute confirmed that the care and support of His Highness to the various events contribute to the success and achievement of goals. BIOA praised the outstanding organization of the festival by the Ministry of youth Affairs and Sports. The Institute has participated in the festival activities, which hosted about 25 thousand participants from citizens, residents and expat communities in more than 25 sports, youth and education and health events of the festival. BIPA confirmed that the great success of this festival was due to the broad participation of all sectors of society in Bahrain, in particular the participation of various ministries, companies, private bodies, national youth centers and clubs as well as the representatives of communities living in Bahrain in addition to universities, schools and other civil society organizations. The importance of participating in this festival was stressed by BIPA in order to create networks of communication between all public sector employees, and to stimulate constructive rapprochement between public employees and their counterparts in the private sector. The Institute pointed out that this participation would contribute to the promotion and support of sporting events that works to embody the intimacy, harmony and cohesion among all Bahraini society components in an entertaining and educational atmosphere.
